If you’ve spent any time in the Australian fitness space, chances are you’ve come across Revie Jane. She's a long time friend of Chief, and the big-sister voice in your corner reminding you that you’re capable of more than you think.
From opening an all-women’s strength and conditioning gym at just 21, to building a thriving online community and launching her training app Revia, Revie has spent more than a decade helping women discover the confidence that comes from moving their bodies.
Now a mum of two, business owner, and HYROX competitor, Revie is a great example of living your Chief life, so we sat down to talk about her journey into fitness, the lessons she’s learned along the way.

Please tell us a bit about you and your background, how did you get into fitness?
I’ve been in the fitness space for over a decade, but it didn’t begin as a business, it began as something that made me feel strong and completely reshaped my mindset. In the gym, my limiting beliefs were challenged daily. "I can't pick up the bar" "I'm not strong enough." "I could never do a 10k run!" By showing up consistently, I realised something incredible. Fitness provided evidence that those limiting beliefs weren't true.
Before fitness became my career, it was my gateway to self-respect. It taught me discipline, resilience, and that I was capable of more than I thought. Once I experienced that shift, I knew I wanted to share it with other women. At 21, I opened an all-women’s strength and conditioning gym and I haven’t looked back since. I started sharing my journey online via social media and have been able to connect with so many incredible people every day.
I ran my first half marathon at 21 and completely fell in love with the process of training for something so outside my comfort zone. Over time, running evolved into hybrid training, strength work and eventually racing events like HYROX.
Now I’m a mum of two, a business owner, and the founder of Revia, a training app for women - training is still the anchor that helps me show up in every other part of my life.
You've been on a journey with your own fitness, what have been some of your challenges and how have you overcome them?
The most difficult part I've found in my fitness journey is being kinder to myself. This may stem from a desire to always want to do better or the pressure on women to look a certain way, but there have been times where I've demanded an unfair amount of performance from my body, times where I wish I could changes parts of it. I've struggled with under-fuelling, burn out and had to start at day zero more times than I could count. What I've taken away from all of it is there is always an opportunity to 'meet yourself with grace.'
My best advice is to always take that opportunity. If your best friend, sister or partner was struggling to get to their fitness goals, and you knew they were doing their best, chat to yourself exactly how you talk to that loved one. If you truly want fitness to be part of your life, not just a season, you have to nurture the relationship you have with it. Discipline matters, but so does self-compassion. When your drive comes from there, you become truly aligned with your body!
What's the number one thing people get wrong about health and fitness?
That it has to suck. That it has to be hard every day. It doesn't! Movement can be and should be something you enjoy for the most part. Sure, there will be tough days and its always good to challenge yourself occasionally, but for the most part? Find something you can have fun with!
Why did you decide to launch an app?
I was tired of watching women feel motivated and then overwhelmed. Too much commitment, too soon. With the amount of noise social media has created with working out, I'm not surprised women don't have the capacity for a 6 day workout split or a 60 minute session! I wanted to build something that actually supported them long-term because the best workouts? Are the doable ones! 25 minutes? 4 times a week? I'M IN!
An app allowed me to create a complete training ecosystem - structured hybrid programming, accessible home workouts, strength, education and community. It removes the guesswork and gives women a clear path to follow. One to meet them where they are at.
Creating an app has been one of the most challenging business ventures yet and I'm excited to see where Revia goes!
Who is the Revia app for?
Revia really speaks to two core groups. First, we’ve got the home queens - women who want accessible, structured fitness they can do anywhere, often juggling busy lives, time poor and wanting a supportive community.
Then we’ve got our hybrid girlies - those who crave a mix of strength and endurance, often training for events like HYROX or pushing for performance goals. Both want amazing workouts, community, and that hype-girl energy to keep them consistent.
What's different about Revia, what do people really love?
We don’t scream at you to “go harder.” We coach you through why the session matters. We talk about pacing, mindset and what the purpose of the workout is!
Our community is very “big sister energy.” Supportive, hype-girl coded, but grounded. There’s no intimidation. Women feel seen, whether they’re training for their first 5K or their fifth HYROX.
People tell me they love that it feels real!
What kind of programs do you offer?
Revia programs include (so far!):
- 3 Incredible Home Programs which feature workouts you can do from home that sit between 20-40 minutes. All you need is a set of Dumbbells and a booty band!
- 2 Hybrid Program - Programming that combines the tricky mix of strength and conditioning and running. These are perfect for anyone thinking of a Hyrox Race or just wants to explore Hybrid training.
- Lastly, we have the 5 Weeks to 5K Program. After so many women shared with me it was their goal to be able to run 5K, I created this program. It's been so rewarding seeing completing something they set out to do.
What's the best place for someone new to fitness to start?
Start smaller than you think you need to. 3-4 sessions per week!
I recommend joining our Facebook group, it's honestly a bunch of incredible women, pushing each other and supporting one another. Definitely tackle the 26 Till it Sticks program on Revia. This is a home program Ive created for anyone who needs to create a habit and stick with it. It's 4 workouts per week, 26 minutes per workout, for 4 weeks. Our completion rate on this program is the highest, and we've received incredible feedback from it!
What about someone who's already pretty fit?
If you’re already training consistently and have a solid base, I’d recommend starting with Hybrid 1.0 inside the app.
It’s designed for women who don’t need help getting started, they need structure that challenges them. The program blends strength, engine work, and running in a way that builds real performance capacity. There’s intention behind every block, progressive overload built in, and a clear training flow across the weeks.
